This tool is used for pulling out threads when using a handle sewing machine, like the one we use at our shop. It also allows you to cut the pulled-out threads. This tool is specifically designed for those who embroider with chainstitch embroidery machine.

You can also apply oil to the grip yourself, allowing for custom coloring.

Originally, this type of hook knife was included as a standard accessory with new machines from Singer and Treasure.

However, it has become quite difficult to find this hook knife sold individually in Japan today. For this reason, we asked our trusted collaborator Tokichi to reproduce it for us.

For this edition, in order to faithfully reproduce the original version, the blade has been properly heat-treated, just like the originals. As a result, it cuts threads smoothly and cleanly. Due to this enhanced quality, combined with rising material and production costs, the price has been set at 9,800 yen per unit. We appreciate your understanding.

We focused on durability so that you can use it for as long as possible.
The blade is made from stainless steel typically used for cutlery, ensuring both strength and ease of maintenance.
The handle is treated with oil stain to provide both color and water resistance.

Development Process

We requested multiple prototypes, carefully examining the hook tip, handle shape, and other design details. After multiple iterations, the final product shown in the image was completed.
We believe this particular hook shape makes it the easiest to pull thread out of the crochet hook.
