Payment & Installments
Payment Methods?
Payments are made directly with the overseas seller (via PayPal, etc.). All fees will be clearly indicated in advance.
Can I return or cancel my order?
Due to the nature of these products, cancellations are generally not accepted. In cases of major damage upon arrival or initial defects, we will coordinate with the seller as appropriate.
Is installment payment available?
Yes. While PayPal itself does not offer installment features, you can arrange installments through your registered credit card company. Contacting them in advance will help ensure a smooth transaction.
Delivery Time, Shipping, and Customs Duties
What is the estimated delivery time?
It depends on stock availability and customs clearance, but the general estimate is 2–6 weeks. If you would like the machine to be serviced or adjusted after arrival in Japan, please allow an additional 1–2 weeks.
Can I request a sample (trial stitching) with the handle embroidery machine I intend to purchase?
Yes, that is possible. The sample will be limited to confirming stitch quality.
How much are international shipping and customs duties?
Costs vary depending on volumetric weight, destination, and whether insurance is included. We will provide an approximate estimate at the time of quotation and also advise you in advance of the likely customs duties and consumption tax.
Defects and Quality
What are the standards for used machine condition?
We confirm the condition through photos and videos, clearly indicating any wear, looseness, rust, modifications, or missing key parts for each individual unit. Additional operation videos can be requested if needed.
I’m concerned about the durability of vintage handle embroidery machines.
Unlike modern machines, vintage machines do not use computer components. As long as proper parts are available, they can be used indefinitely. Therefore, it is very important to choose your first vintage handle embroidery machine from a properly serviced, genuine machine offered by a reliable seller. In my personal experience, they tend to be much more durable than modern machines.
Can I request repairs or adjustments?
Yes, that is possible. If you share a video showing the issue (such as poor thread tension, uneven feed, or looper position), we can provide initial online support. For major repairs, we will introduce you to our partner sewing machine shops in Japan.
Support and Operation
Can you support the purchase of overseas machines?
Yes. We provide full support as your local agent—from stock confirmation → payment link guidance → international shipping → customs support. We can also assist with model selection and condition checks.
Can these machines run on Japanese power (100V)?
If you purchase the head only, there is no issue. For motor-included sets, the voltage specifications may differ, so we recommend using a transformer or replacing the motor with a domestic 100V-compatible unit. Our recommendation is to purchase the head only and then set it up in Japan with a dedicated table and 100V servo motor.
Can you help with initial setup when the machine arrives at my home?
Yes, within Japan. You would need to cover round-trip travel expenses plus a setup support fee (varies by model).
Can I choose between “Head only,” “Table set,” or “Full set”?
Yes. We will suggest the most suitable configuration based on your installation environment and budget. You can also add a table or motor domestically at a later date.
How much does it cost to arrange a table and servo motor in Japan?
As an estimate, a new table and servo motor set costs around JPY 150,000–200,000.
Are maintenance items and consumables (needles, nipples, hook knives, etc.) available?
Major consumables are available from us (subject to stock). If you are unsure about compatibility (model type, size, etc.), please share photos or details and we will assist with selection.
Do you offer lessons or e-learning?
Yes. Options include in-person one-on-one lessons at our workshop, online sessions via Zoom, and Vimeo rentals (with English subtitles). We also provide A–Z lettering lessons and advanced step-up courses.
What threads, needles, or nipples do you recommend?
We recommend them based on your intended expression, such as moss stitch. For example: needle #6 with nipple size #7 or larger (depending on the machine). Finer needles may fail to pull up the thread, so please consult us.
I’m not sure which model to choose. Can you advise?
Yes. Based on your intended use (lettering focus, patch production, fine-line emphasis, etc.), installation environment, and future expansion, we will recommend the optimal combination, such as Singer 114W103 or Treasure 1114.
What is the daily maintenance procedure?
Handle embroidery machines are solid iron machines. As long as you oil them regularly, they are extremely durable and unlikely to break down.
Can you help me find a specific handle embroidery machine I am looking for?
Yes. Please contact us with details.
